I had a seizure, was brought to the ER, lost consciousness and was greeted by my neurosurgeon. I suddenly woke up from being heavily sedated and he had a white light around him. He has intensely blue eyes. I thanked him and passed out. I had no fear. I drifted off to a white infinite cozy space. For some reason, I thought my doctor was an angel.
I got hit by a car when I was 12. When the paramedics got there, I was DOA. I split my head open. They brought me back with the paddles.
I have had three experiences. I will start chronologically in order.
The ambulance arrived with its loud sirens and flashing lights on a cold, dark, and a dreary evening on the New Year's Day into the Brettonwood subdivision in Decatur, Georgia, disturbing the quiet neighborhood. It was 7:00 PM and our neighbors were out of their homes enjoying the holidays.
Fifteen days before, I had triple bypass open-heart surgery and was recovering well at home. I was able to shower by myself, walk around the house, and take care of all my needs for the first twelve days. Suddenly, I began coughing uncontrollably and deteriorated in my health. I was not able to eat any solid food, could hardly breathe, and was so weak that I could not even move.
My first experience was in 1989. I was 11 years old and it was three days after Christmas. My mom was taking us to my hair appointment that day. My mom was driving a Ram Charger. I was in the front seat and my little brother was in the back seat.
