This happened to me while getting a hernia repair. I was told I flatlined for 2 min 30 sec. No heartbeat, no breathing, nothing. They resuscitated me but I didn't wake till in the hospital ICU. I spent 5 days in hospital afterwards.

I appeared in a large black area, void of anything. As I looked around, I came to realize I didn't belong. Something just felt as if I needed to get out.

I looked up and saw a rectangular hole with light coming through, kind of like a skylight that has the white defusing cover. As I tried to go through it, I felt like I was being held back by some sort of liquid that was very thick. As I struggled through, it was like swimming.

There were four ghost-like people that were trying to not let me out. They were holding their arms out on each side of the rectangle hole. But I was pushing and also was losing my breath. It felt like those plastic hanging things that are at a doorway to a large freezer that you have to push on to get through.

When I awoke in real life, I was shaking and had slurred speech and was very confused.
