I awoke in the middle of the night with a severe migraine. I had experienced occasional migraines since I was teenager, but this migraine was extremely painful, and I should have sought treatment at an emergency room. However, since I had young children at the time, I did not want to wake them or my husband, so I attempted to treat myself.
I was asleep, comfortably diagonal across my king size bed. I was 70, single, sleep alone and enjoy stretching lazily across the bed while watching television ‘till I fall asleep. On this night, I’m sure I had been asleep long enough to have passed through the REM (rapid eye movement) phase, settling into a good night’s rest. I suddenly felt my body convulse, first curling up then straightening out, twice, very rapidly.
The following is my NDE narrative, remembered to the best of my ability: The year was 2002. I was 23 years old and induced with my second child.
My NDE happened when I was 7. I was playing with my dog in the back seat of the car while my diseased stepdad was driving. He took a sudden turn and somehow the back door opened and I fell out, with my head first, where I got blunt trauma.
On May 3, 2012 I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at 20 weeks pregnant. I went through chemo pregnant until 4 weeks before I had my son. Two weeks after he was born I had a mastectomy, five weeks after that I started 12 weekly chemos then went for 37 radiation treatments. Four weeks after ending treatment I dropped dead in the middle of a residential street.
